Lesson packages starting after the 1st will be prorated when necessary.
Missed Lessons
A minimum of 24 hours notice is required to reschedule a lesson. If there is less than 24 hours notice the lesson shall be forfeited.
With notice, a minimum of two reasonable make-up options will be offered, if neither work, the lesson is forfeited. The lesson must be made up in the same month or within a 2 week time frame.
In order to cancel a lesson, send notice of missed dates before the monthly due date (1st of each month) in order to get a credit for the missed lesson(s). If notice is not given by the 1st the lesson may be rescheduled but not canceled.
Months with five weeks: Your loyalty is valued! Months with five weeks will not be charged extra when paid by the due date. This means you have the opportunity to earn four free lessons per year as long as there are no cancellations during that month and payment is made on time.
Consistent adherence to this policy helps to ensure a fair and organized experience for all riding students. This allows the opportunity to offer openings to those seeking one time or makeup lessons.
The schedule fully books each month and make ups are hard to come by if the other clients have not sent notices of absence.
Additionally it ensures the riding program remains sustainable as every appointment booked means expenses have been covered to ensure there is an available horse for your use.
Missed lessons due to illness, trainer scheduling or weather:
**In case of inclement weather your instructor will reach out to you if there is a need to cancel. The lesson may be rescheduled within a 4 week time period.
**In case of illness we require a "morning of" notice to be eligible for a reschedule. Cancellations made 2 hours or less prior to the scheduled lesson will be forfeited.
**In case of trainer cancellation due to horse related event or personal time notice will be posted in the barn, over Facebook or communicated in person or through messaging "as soon as we know" or in the yearly schedule. A minimum of two reasonable make-up dates will be given with your current instructor or with an alternate. In case of instructor illness notice will be given ASAP. If another instructor is unavailable to fulfill your regular lesson time a minimum of two makeup dates will be presented otherwise lesson will be credited towards the next month's billing.
****PLEASE NOTE**** If you arrive late for your lesson or are slow to prepare this cuts into your riding time! You are encouraged to arrive early if you are capable of getting and preparing your own horse. If you need assistance please arrive on time or up to 10 minutes early.
